  • Woven Wood Blinds As Room Accessories

You have likely heard of woven wood blinds, but chances are you have never used them and you might not have ever seen them either. It’s a bit confusing, since these blinds are universal and can fit into just about any type of room decor, and the colors are earthen enough to go with any predominant colors.

These blinds are made of materials that are usually organic, and they are equally as attractive as any other blinds you may use. Most brands are completely natural, so they do qualify as being organic products. Many are made from bamboo, various types of grass, reeds — the list quite long. There are also such a variety of colors and densities in the woven wood blinds themselves, many of which are as different as night and day.

Traditionally, woven blinds that are made of wood are made with relatively thin wood fibers that are sewn together. You can find more than that on store shelves today, and some are so carefully crafted that they look like they are actually made of fabric. There are thicker woven styles that can give a room a bit of an exotic flair that you wouldn’t be able to get any other way. The thicker varieties usually cost more, but the fact that they block out a good amount of light is a selling point for many. Both styles have their good points, so it depends on your personal tastes.

In most cases, woven wood blinds are more expensive than plastic varieties. Real woven blinds are not made of plastic. Also, many of the more expensive varieties are actually handmade, which will raise the price for that irreplaceable human touch that furniture which is handcrafted gives off.

You can find these blinds at most stores that sell interior design supplies, but if you are working on a budget you might want to see what the internet has to offer you. You will be able to find even more varieties online, and since there are so many online retailers you will be able to find some in any variety of price ranges.

The price may be an issue for you if you are on a budget, so there are faux wood blinds available at many retailers as well. And you may find that many department stores offer faux wood instead of real. While they may not truly be wood, they do look the part. Imitation wood is also immune to water damage, which may be a huge plus for you depending on where you live.

Whatever you decide, you will be able to find a huge variety that fits your preference and budget. Though traditional styles are what is usually thought of, look into other options and breach out, they come in some many shapes, sizes, and styles can fit into any room’s decor with ease.

Want to give your favorite a natural makeover? Putting up woven wood blinds can get you that natural feel, and they won’t cost a lot either.
