The first three stages of life cycle take place in water and last 5-14 days depending on temperature and mosquito species. The eggs hatch to become larvae, and then pupae. The adult mosquito emerges from the pupa as it floats at the water surface. Adult females can live up to a month but most of them do not live more than 1-2 weeks.

    Now, we all know that mosquitoes can live and thrive in stagnant water and dark sites. So keep your house clean and free from stagnant water that will be formed. Make your that your pipelines have no leakages and the drainage system is clean and free-flowing.

    Clean bodies of water near your area, get rid of all floating rubbles and wastes from the water. These wastes can provide a breeding area for mosquitoes. Production of mosquito-eating fish can also help control the mosquitoes.
