Although solar power is powerful enough to power any home, but before you install solar panels, you must first consider how the weather is where you live. For instance, do you get a lot of year round sun? Is it cloudy or rainy a lot? Do you have a lot of trees on your property?

These are all important things to ask yourself because they will all play a role in the amount of savings that you see. Solar power homes require a lot of sunlight year if you want it to be worth your time and effort. Solar panels will still provide your home with some power through the elements of trees, rain and clouds but it won’t be as good as it could be. You may think that one spot looks good because it is sunny there during the afternoon, but then during the morning and evening it is covered in shade. Be careful where you place them and loo for maximum sunlight for the duration of the day.

Factor 3: make sure that you hook up your solar panels to the electricity grid correctly. If you don’t hook it up correctly then you may be waiting a long time wondering why you are not gaining any power. You must take the time to research how to set up solar panels so that they run properly, or hire someone that knows how to do it for you.
